The printmaking guild in the School of Art and Design will host Mark Hosford for a screen-printing publishing workshop March 23-27, 2026. Mark has been making screen-prints for more than 25 years, many based on highly narrative drawings, which are often animated, sources for murals and artificial reality experiences.

Professor Hosford is the former Art Department Chair and currently a faculty member of more than 20 years at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

Hosford will offer a lecture March 26th 2026, in Speight Auditorium in the Leo Jenkins Fine Arts Center at 5pm. His lecture is intended to offer significant insight into his work, experiences as an artist and help transition our focus from one amazing artist to the works of more than 70 artists from across North Carolina included in “a State of Printmaking” that will be open in the Gray Gallery. This is one of several activities planned March 26-28 to celebrate the closing reception of the exhibition.

Please come see Mark work with students to publish an edition of screen-print March 23rd to March 27th and /or attend his lecture March 26th.
